Woke up this morning to find the trailer for Martin Scorsese's "George Harrison: Living in the Material World" waiting for me. I've known that this was coming for some time but to finally see a completed trailer only adds to my excitement and anticipation.

Another week and another five songs that I hold dear.
* please do your souls and minds an enormous favour and listen to this song. Simply beautiful.

A new week and a new selection of songs.
(Thanks goes to the fabulous and extremely talented Michelle at Stray Cat Blues for introducing me to this absolute gem of a tune.)
It seems that this week's music are either recommendations from friends or songs heard and picked up from my parents. The Dave Clark 5 and Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Titch are all bands that have come straight from my Dad and that have been on my musical radar since I was very small. Whereas Gladys Knight and The Isley Brothers are musicians that I discovered through my Mum when hearing them through the cassette players of old cars, played at a very high level.
"Music is enough for a lifetime, but a lifetime is not enough for music." - Sergei Rachmaninov
